Xiaomi 5X might be the first smartphone to launch under Lanmi-brand

The leaked poster of the device confirms the existence of dual camera setup and mentioned is the price of the device, which is Yuan 1999, that converts to $295 United States dollars. We had Xiaomi X1 with a bezel-less display, Redmi Note 5A, and Mi 6 Plus.

The name of the new sub-brand is unknown, still, new reports from mydrivers.com suggests that a new phone will soon be launched under the new name.

The Xiaomi 5X will feature a 5.5-inch display, might make use of a 1080p panel. So, the new Mi 5X will be a mid-range phone with dual camera setup. Speculation is rife that it will get a 5MP front-facing camera from Samsung and incorporate a unibody metal construction to justify its premium branding, albeit at an affordable price. There is no information on whether there will be an option of expandable memory. The 5X will run Android 7.1.1 (MIUI 9), and is rumored to be made official on July 26. The smartphone will be featuring a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 will come loaded with a 3,680mAh non-removable battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology support for fast-charging. Earlier, the phone has stated to be powered by a Snapdragon 660 which is now replaced with the 625 chipset. The Snapdragon 630 SoC-powered Redmi 5 with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM is rumoured to start at CNY 1099 (approximately Rs. 10,400), the 4GB RAM with 32GB ROM variant is said to be priced at CNY 1199 (approximately Rs. 11,450) and for top-spec variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, it will cost you CNY 1299 (approximately Rs. 12,300). The company has confirmed that starting tomorrow, fans of the phone will be able to pick any of the four color variants at the same time, something that has not been possible since the phone's release a few months ago.
