Raiders Cut Practice Short As Wildfires Affect Air Quality

Raiders Cut Practice Short As Wildfires Affect Air Quality

The Chargers play at Oakland on Sunday, and there's a good chance the Raiders will have injured quarterback Derek Carr back.

Carr was listed as a limited participant in practice Thursday.

The Raiders have incurred double-digit deficits in each chapter of this downturn, falling too far to recover before the final whistle.

Cooper, who has only four catches for 23 yards during the Raiders' three-game losing streak, was asked how he was doing on Wednesday, how he keeps his frustration in check because, well, he seems to always wear the same expression.

"It's been a good recipe for us in the last few ballgames", coach Doug Pederson said Monday.

"Yeah. I was open", he said. "I know what a competitor he is and he's a tough dude".

While idle, Carr was able to contemplate why the Raiders are struggling on offense. Carr is likely set to return under center after missing last week's game with a back injury. "When something like that happens and then someone tells you what it really is, you just sit there and think you're fortunate, you're blessed".

This may all be a bit too hopeful.

"We're so uptight", Penn said. They gave up an opening drive touchdown in two of three defeats and have been outscored 31-3 the last three games. "We expected to have a different start these first five games". Since Carr went down two weeks ago against the Denver Broncos, Oakland lost that game and the following one to the Baltimore Ravens. "He's ran some really good routes, to be honest". Both lead their respective divisions.

With another win, the Chargers just might keep their slim hopes of a positive season alive. Oakland canceled PE and other outdoor activities and allowed students to stay home without being considered absent. "Just find a way to win our second in a row".

Wildfire destroyed a Santa Rosa, Calif. neighborhood; the smoke and air quality impacted Oakland Raiders practice on Wednesday.
